According to the 94 year old woman, the three legged stool that he presented to her grand-son was a sign of good leadership.
She claims that Obama even sat on the stool infront of her and he was very happy to receive it.
“President Obama sat on the stool in front of me and I was very happy. He is Luo and he knows what we love and he did just that,” She told journalists upon arrival at Kisumu from Nairobi.
Mama Sarah Obama also said that the American President has not forgotten his roots and during the family dinner at Villa Rosa Kempinski hotel, he ate Luo food.
“ He is Luo and he ate our foods. He took Omena, chicken, and our vegetables. He was happy to be here, “I slept right in the same hotel with him. It was a very happy moment when Auma (President Obama’s half-sister) brought him in to the room,” she added.
While addressing the Press on Saturday evening at State Hose, Obama revealed that the family meeting was fulfilling and he had the opportunity of meeting some of the relatives he hadn’t seen before.
“There are cousins, uncles and aunties that show up that you did not know existed, but you are always happy to meet. There were some lengthy explanations in some connections. But it was a wonderful time,” He revealed.
