Friday, 31 July 2015 - Popular Kenyan news anchor Larry Madowo has made it clear that a combined loss of Kshs 200,000 with KTN’s Jeff Koinange has not dented their packets large enough to make them frown.
Through his instagram page, Larry uploaded a photo of himself sharing a hearty laugh with his KTN counterpart saying;
"When @koinangejeff and I realized we had both lost the POTUS interview. Turns out we can still afford a good laugh even if we're each Sh100,000 poorer. We didn't even pose for this, Michael Khateli took it without our knowledge while at State House "
Larry and Jeff lost the money after they bet each other Kshs 100,000 for whoever managed to interview US President Barack Obama when he was in the country.
However, neither of the two accomplished journalists had the opportunity to do so as the honour went to capital FM’s Olive Burrows.
The money lost by the two journalists will however go to a worthwhile course of charity aimed at helping the underprivileged in society.
