According to eye witnesses who saw everything, there was a scuffle in the matatu and the next thing they heard was a loud bang as the speeding matatu ran over the victim, who is said to be in his early 20s.
It’s not yet clear whether the victim fell from the matatu or was pushed out in the 11 pm incident which left Innercore residents in a state of shock.
According to one of the Sacco supervisors, the driver together with the conductor fled away for their own safety leaving behind the body of the victim lying in a pool of blood upon realizing what they had done.
This comes barely a few months after a lady nearly lost her life in one of the Sacco’s Matatus, after she was drugged and left for dead.
