Tuesday, 29 September 2015 - After a leading daily newspaper carried a front page story of how a 19 year old college girl had committed suicide after her love affair with a white man went sour, there is confusion on social media after the lady who was believed to be dead took to her Facebook page to dispel the claims.
The lady, who goes by the name Mercy Josiah, has threatened to take action against the Daily Nation after she claimed that they had erroneous used her photo in the heart rending story.
According to Mercy, she was positive that the photo used was hers but she refuted claims that she had committed suicide after her Mzungu lover s3xually molested her at a Mombasa hotel.
Daily Nation has in the meantime absolved themselves from blame claiming that they had received the photos from the sister to the deceased.
