Forget JAY Z, See the other Billionaires SAUTI SOL met while in New York (Photos)


Monday, 28 September 2015 - Kenyans across the country have taken to social media to applaud Multi Award winning  music group Sauti Sol after they joined world renowned celebrities such as Jay Z, Beyonce, Usher, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Leonardo Di Caprio in New York for a festival aimed at raising awareness of global inequality. 

The Nishike hit makers were among top African celebs who were invited to the Global Citizen Festival that was also graced by US Vice President Joe Biden and First Lady Michelle Obama.

The festival was held to raise awareness of the UN's global goals program which aims to eradicate global poverty, fight injustice, and combat climate change, among other things. 

Sauti Sol, who could not hide their excitement after they joined rock stars Pearl Jam on stage for the closing act, took to social media to share photos of their superb trip to New York where they meant with musicians Jay Z, Usher, actress Kerry Washington, multi billionaire business men Richard Branson and Bill Gates, among many others.

Among  local celebs who congratulated Sauti Sol for their major fete included singer Avril who had this to say; "LEGENDARY!!!!!! @SAUTISOL this right here is a big deal and we should all celebrate you for flying high the Kenyan flag..Sauti disturbing NewYork #globalcitizenfestival"
