Monday, 21 September 2015 - Controversial Kenyan Blogger Robert Alai has yet again caused a storm on social media after he took to his Facebook page to share a photo that seems to be an attack on the First Lady Margret Kenyatta and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru.
The blogger, who is known to speak his mind, posted a photo of the two ladies planting trees with the caption; “The competition of the mistresses”
See the photo below:
Alai’s action however did not sit well with many Kenyans, who felt that he was insulting the two ladies, and many went ahead to urge the blogger to at least respect Mrs Kenyatta.
See some reactions from Kenyans on social media below:
Ray O Mokaya: Alai, Margaret is the first lady of the Republic of Kenya. She is not a mistress. This is demeaning and unwarranted for. In fact she is the coolest first lady I know besides Michelle.
Ronald
Otieno - We know who the mistress and the first lady is. Now, some dignity for
Mrs. Kenyatta.
Alfred Thaba
- a mistress is a woman who is in a position of authority or control, or who is
highly skilled in something. stop throwing venom at #alai coz he does not mean
a mpango wa kando. someni kizungu jameni
Henry
Raballah Jr.- margaret is humble enough not to require a red carpet while
planting a tree...i cant say the same for waiguru though. thats all i see...NOT
a competition
Ken
Odhiambo -Haha..,girlfriends are always treated better even though most men will
deny it publicly.
Austine
Ochieng Dieto - Please show some respect to the First Lady.
Benard
Gichohi Chamakh - Alai leave Margaret alone she has done alot..and doesn't play
politics..last keep ur idiotic ideas to ur self or go hang urself
Andrew
Waweru - I now believe moses Kuria.the foreskin is hinderance to your thinking
Derek H.
Frey - You do know what the word 'mistress' means, right?
Lawrence Ochieng’: All the politics and the tribalism aside, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta is an excellent first lady. I respect her for the good work she is doing and her humility. It is totally uncalled for, for someone and that is Robert Alai to demean her.
Eunice Nduta: You do realise these people have families, friends and kids…whether true or false not a single kenyan man who is in a place to lecture another Man…coz as we say you are all the same.
Francis Ndungu: Wachana na familia za watu wengine. Even Solomon had many and I don’t see you complaining. Wewe uko na wangapi? If someone want to marry 10 so be it. UK has enough to feed even a thousand ‘mistresses’, and each one would own bigger land than your entire extended family owns. I think your online jokes are going too far and personal.
