Tuesday, 08 September 2015 - Just days after Kenya’s formula one wonder boy, Tejas Hirani made history after it was announced that he would be the only African driver participating in this year’s World Rallycross championship, the Kenyan  government through the ministry of Tourism has endorsed him as its ambassador. 

Through an official letter signed by the Tourism Cabinet secretary, Phyllis Kandie, Tejas Hirani has been given the enviable task of promoting brand Kenya in International outings. 

CS Kandie disclosed that the government was thrilled by Tejas’ exploits in the international scene adding that Kenyans were proud of his patriotism.

The 17-year-old teenager made history when he became the first Kenyan driver to compete in the World Rallycross Championship and this year, he will be the first-ever Kenyan driver to compete in the last three rounds of the World Rallycross RX Lites Championship in Spain, Turkey and Italy
