Crazy! See the destruction El Nino has caused in Nairobi and its only the 1st days (Photos)


Thursday, 29 October 2015 - Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero has been sharply criticized after recent repair works on the city’s drainage system collapsed following the heavy rains that pounded Nairobi on Wednesday night. 

Kidero, who had apparently spent a whooping Kshs 50 Million on the works that were meant to protect city residents from the much talked about EL Nino rains, has been accused of doing a shoddy job. 

This was after many city residents were stuck in traffic for hours after roads were flooded.

Sections of Jogoo road, near Makadara law courts, were completely flooded forcing outbound motorists to switch to the opposite lane. A few cars got stuck in the flood waters and had to be towed away.

Learning was also paralyzed at St Elizabeth primary school in Lunga Lunga on Thursday morning as flood water swamped the school.
