Friday, 16 October 2015 - Celebrated Kenyan gospel singer, Willy Paul, could not hide his excitement after he learnt that popular Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz was impressed by his hit song Lala Salama.
Laying his sentiments on his instagram page, Willy Paul, who has in the past been accused of trying too much to be like Diamond, disclosed that he was humbled to see the superstar interested in his work.
Willy Paul went ahead to disclose that he was grateful to God that his songs were impacting a secular musician.
“@diamondplatnumz watching my song lala salama... to be honest it humbles me alot.. sometimes when you stay dedicated to God and do as He orders, he makes the impossible possible...This is a secular artist listening to a song by a gospel artist... it might seem like a small thing... but the miraculous part is SECULAR listening to a song from the gospel world. ..... This deserves an AMEN.” Willy Paul said.
Willy Paul and Diamond have long been linked to working together. However their project has never kicked off as the Tanzanian singer disappointed his Kenyan counterpart after he claimed that it was very difficult for him to do a gospel song. However, only time will tell if the two talented singer will soon find a common ground and work on the much anticipated collabo.
