Friday, 02 October 2015 - After nearly a year of silence, controversial televangelist Prophet, Dr, Victor Kanyari of the Salvation Healing Ministry has finally opened up about the status of his relationship with his wife, gospel singer, Betty Bayo.
Speaking during a recent media interview, Kanyari, who was exposed performing fake miracles to his gullible followers, confirmed that he had indeed separated with his wife.
However, the controversial preacher was quick to point out that the separation was not as a result of the much publicized scandal, which saw him exposed fondling a woman’s breast on a church podium, but was as a result of ‘normal’ family issues.
Kanyari went ahead to disclose that he and Betty are still good friends adding that he is hopeful that one day, things will go back to normal.
“People have been saying that we parted ways after the scandal but we are like any other family that faces problems and take time to ponder the next move. In fact, we are good friends and hope one day that things will change. For now, we are apart but in good terms like family.” Kanyari said.
The preacher also disclosed that the expose done by KTN’s Mohammed Ali had badly affected his church as the number of worshipers has greatly dwindled.
“The scandal really ruined my life, though they were all lies. In fact, those behind it were my workers and some of them are now seeking forgiveness,” said the 32-year-old pastor.
