The Kigeugeu hit maker, who is one of the most successful musicians in the country, was seen criss-crossing Nairobi’s city center without his security detail and his convoy of flashy cars.
The musician’s action drew mixed reactions amongst his fans, with many speculating that his cars might have been grounded or he had gone broke.
But when he was asked why a flamboyant person like him had chosen the modest mode of transport, this is what the singer had to say:
“Well it is true, I did ride a Bodaboda but this does not mean my cars were unavailable, it is not that really as some people who spotted me are trying to say. I had an urgent meeting I was rushing for and with the kind of traffic in Nairobi, I found it wise to use a Bodaboda else I would be caught in the jam,” said Jaguar.
He added, “I was leaving the country for an overseas trip and the youth group I was meeting had to get serious matters sorted and this was the only option I could reach to them. Besides did you expect me to fly a chopper on the highway? “
