The famed radio host, who had embarked on a noble mission to raise funds that would help purchase cancer treatment equipments for the Kenyatta National Hospital, has managed to raise a whopping 20.2Milion shilling within a day.
Maina, who extended his ordinary working hours and stayed on air for almost 8 hours, also managed to secure Kshs 6M in pledges effectively managing to raise over double the targeted amount
The radio presenter was the main voice behind the noble mission put together by Classic 105 and Eddah’s Hope Cancer Foundation.
According to Main, every cent raised from the campaign will go towards purchasing cancer treatment equipments that will be used to reduce the number of children who die from cancer.
