The boxer, who has been languishing in poverty at her village in Siaya, spoke out when she visited Nairobi County Assembly Speaker, Alex Ole Magelo, who promised to foot all her medical bills.
“I have not gone bonkers as many people would be led to believe. I’m a big prosecutor in this country and a very dangerous person. It’s only stress that has done me in. I take issue with those who have been taking me at the facility to receive jabs. I’m the same Conjestina who is otherwise going through stress ever since she last stepped in the ring,” Conjestina said.
According to the Nairobi County Assembly Speaker, he is planning to keep Conjestina away from her family for five months in order for her to gradually undergo through the rehabilitation process.
“I will seek for a qualified doctor to treat Conjestina at my own costs besides paying her rental room as she undergoes rehabilitation and then see on how she will make ends meet once she recovers,” said Magelo, who also slapped the renowned boxer with Ksh. 30,000.
