According
to the music governing body PRISK, Wyre, who recently released his long awaited
album, Lion, took home the largest chuck of money collected in form of
royalties in the past year.
Wyre was
followed closely by controversial gospel singer Willy Paul, whilst the popular
Kenyan groups Sauti Sol and P-Unit took the third and fourth spots
respectively.
Jaguar, who
was the highest paid artist in the previous period, also made it to the top ten
list of the highest paid musicians in Kenya. Others included ;
Alexander Njonde, Daddy Owen, R-Kay (Robert Kamanzi) , Jaguar, Lucas Osidiani
(Ogopa) and Wawesh Mjanja.
