Through social media,
the Utawala rapper urged his fans to help him ‘return a favour’ to the writer
whom he attributed his success to.
According to Juliani,
Binyavanga was among the few people who acknowledged his talent and substantially helped him when he and his group, Mau Mau were struggling to find
their feet in the music industry.
“Growing up in Dandora the only thing we had
was a talent, our mind and our stories. Many praised us of our Talent, told us
how we will go far. But only one man affirmed us how we were geniuses and we
will change our country as MauMau Camp not only that he put his money where his
mouth was, Set up a studio, Help us release an Album, documented some of our
works on KWANI? He is Binyanvanga I will forever be grateful. Please Join me in
raising fund to help him cater for his care.”
Juliani posted on social media.
Binyavanga suffered a
stroke at his home near Bomas of Kenya in October 31st and needs to raise Kshs 7.5 Million
to travel to India for treatment.
