Tuesday, 22 December 2015 - Popular Kenyan gospel singer, Jimmy Gait has been sharply criticized by Kenyans on social media after he released his rendition to the popular hit song ‘Hello’ originally done by English singer and songwriter, Adele.
The Huratete hit maker released a gospel
rendition to the record breaking hit song.
However, majority
of Kenyans have not been impressed by the song with some even writing an
apology letter to Adele for the embarrassing turn of events.
“Dear
Adele, - On behalf of all Kenyans....all 42 million of us and even the unborn
future generations....I sincerely apologize for this atrocity. We collectively
express our heartfelt condolences for this sieke (siege) and massacre of your
beautiful song. Our embarrassment is forever engraved on the internet.” One
social media user commented.
On the
other hand KOT had a field day trolling the gospel star.
"Played 30 seconds of Jimmy Gait and next thing I know a stampede of roaches, spiders & other vermin were banging at my door."
"Dear Adele, we are sorry for Jimmy Gait's cover of Hello. We sincerely apologize. No Kenyan was consulted"
"Jimmy Gait's Hello is the real Muhadhara"
"Adele once again sorry for what Jimmy Gait has done to you, your song and fans. As a Kenyan i opine that he humbly sticks to his lane"
