Wednesday,
16 December 2015 - A few days after
self-proclaimed multi millionaire businessman, Steve Mbogo disclosed his source
of wealth, the 28-year-old man may be in court soon after one of the companies he
claimed to be associated with vowed to sue him.
Local
airline, Fly 540’s Chief Executive and owner Don Smith has disclosed that his
company is contemplating taking legal action against Mr Mbogo for claiming that he
was a non-executive chair of the company.
Speaking to
Nairobi News, Mr Smith revealed that he was angered by Mr Mbogo’s remarks adding
that he neither knows him nor has he ever met with him.
“He has
nothing to do with 540 nor has he ever and this really pisses me off and we are
in the process of suing him for passing off. We have never heard of him until he posted
his claims on the web site,” Mr Smith said.
Steve
Mbogo, recently caused a stir on social media after he claimed that he had
interests in a number of companies in various sectors including real estate,
manufacturing, renewable energy, ICT, insurance and aviation.
According
to the outspoken businessman, in addition to owning businesses worth Sh13
billion which include twelve 4-star hotels, 32 apartment blocks in
Nairobi, two insurance companies in Uganda, six night clubs spread in Nakuru,
Kisumu and Nairobi, and a flight training academy in Wilson Airport, Nairobi,
he was also East Africa’s Forbes richest man under 30 –claims that were never
proven.
