Gospel star Rufftone has guts: See what he told the President in public because of his daughter

Friday, January 8, 2016 -   Veteran gospel singer Rufftone recently surprised his fans after he confessed that he had scolded President Uhuru Kenyatta in public.

Speaking during a recent media interview, the Mwikulu hit maker, who late last year was among dignitaries invited by the President at State House Nairobi for the 2015 end year party, disclosed that he was forced to use a public address system to ask the Head of State to ‘return’ his child.

Apparently, Rufftone, who had attended the December 23rd party with his wife Krystal and one-year-old daughter Kerren Agolla, was called on stage to entertain the invited guest. He then took the opportunity to introduce his family to the First Family and that is when something out of the ordinary occurred.

Apparently the President decided to hold Rufftone’s daughter who in turn decline to let go of the Head of State’s hand.

What followed was a laughable experience as narrated by the gospel star.

“I was amazed when the President held my baby, who went ahead to decline from letting go from his hands. That was when it hit me that I had to do something. When the baby completely refused to let go off Uhuru’s hands, I was forced to stand up as her daddy and “warn” the President using the public address system: “Manze, tuheshimiane... Huyo mtoto ni wangu si wa State House. Tafadhali nirudishie mtoto wangu. But it was on a lighter note though. At that very moment, everybody at the event broke out in laughter. I think Kerren also realised how serious I was and she accepted to go back to her mother’s arms. There has to be something very special about our President. He is such a cool guy and his spirit is so pure. I believe that’s why my child reacted the way she did,” Rufftone revealed.
