Wednesday, 29 December 2021 – Dramatic scenes were witnessed next to Makongeni Police Station in Thika after the area residents almost beat up a kid after discovering that he was not disabled, as they had always believed.
According to a resident, he discovered that the boy was not disabled when he went to answer the call of nature.
“I was shocked to see the boy get off the wheelchair and walk on his own towards that hedge to urinate.
“He then came and coiled back into position to fake disability,” he said.
Shocked by the turn of events, he raised alarm and attracted the attention of the area residents, who had always believed that the boy was crippled.
The cunning boy had already collected some substantial amount of money from innocent passersby before he was busted.
He was frog matched to the nearby police station where he was held up for questioning.
It’s alleged that the boy was being used by his parents to extort money from unsuspecting members of the public.
