Anxiety as RUTO’s allies GACHAGUA and KAHIGA are summoned over the death of former Nyeri Governor WAHOME GAKURU – Were they involved in his death?

Friday, January 21, 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto’s ally and Mathira MP, Rigathi Gachagua, has been summoned by the court in connection to the tragic death of former Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru.

Also summoned over Gakuru’s death is Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, who has also declared support for Ruto.

The two were summoned yesterday alongside two other county officials as witnesses in the matter.

Last year, Justice Kagendo also summoned Kahiga, County Secretary Benjamin Gachichio and County Chief of Staff Paul Wambugu, to appear and shed light on grey areas regarding Gakuru’s death.

Governor Kahiga was summoned to shed light on a statement that he made moments after Gakuru’s death.

The governor had claimed that he had warned the late Governor not to use the vehicle he was driving in on the day he died, due to its mechanical state.

Ruto and his entire UDA brigade will be closely following the case since the two big guns are his loyal lietenants.
