DP RUTO receives a huge boost after Senate Speaker KENNETH LUSAKA endorses Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

 

Thursday, February 10, 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto has received a major boost after Speaker of the Senate, Ken Lusaka, endorsed Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Kenya Kwanza Alliance is a union of Ruto, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart, Moses Wetangula.

Speaking on Wednesday, Lusaka said he will work with Wetangula to recapture his Bungoma gubernatorial seat.

Lusaka, who is the first Bungoma governor, lost the seat in 2017 against incumbent Governor Wycliffe Wangamati.

Wangamati has said he will reclaim his seat using the Azimio La Umoja Movement.

“I am coming to complete what I started as the first governor. I am now working closely with Wetang’ula to ensure I recapture the seat that I closely lost to Wangamati,” Lusaka said.

Lusaka’s announcement is a big boost to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, particularly, Ruto who is trying to endear himself to the masses ahead of the August 9th presidential election.
