Has OPARANYA also dumped RAILA for RUTO just like his tribesmen MUDAVADI and WETANGULA? Here is the bitter truth

Saturday, February 12, 2022 – Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has refuted claims that he has ditched Raila Odinga’s ODM and joined Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA.

This is after social media was awash with reports that Oparanya had finally joined Ruto just like his Mulembe brothers. Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.

In a post on his social media yesterday, Oparanya denied any dealings with Ruto and urged his supporters to remain calm.

He stated that the allegations were malicious and were being propagated by his political enemies, who are uncomfortable with the new Azimio La Umoja wave that is sweeping across the country.

He further reiterated his support for Raila and the Azimio La Umoja Movement, saying he will do anything to get Baba to the State House.

“I urge Azimio supporters to ignore propaganda being spread by my detractors who are uncomfortable with the Azimio wave sweeping the country and my firm stands behind Baba’s bid for the presidency,” the governor stated.

His sentiments were echoed by the ODM Party, which dismissed reports of Oparanya decamping to the Kenya Kwanza side.

ODM noted that although Oparanya has been absent from the campaign rallies led by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, he has been holding meetings with other Azimio La Umoja leaders.

The Party stated that Oparamya was not leaving the Azimio movement as it was being speculated by their political rivals.
