Tuesday, February 22, 2022 – City businessman cum politician, Stanley Livondo, has made good his threat and revealed the identities of the top officials in government who attempted to assassinate President Uhuru Kenyatta twice.
Speaking to journalists yesterday after recording a statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Livondo stated that he had availed to the investigating agency the details of the people he believed to be part of the group including their names, registration numbers of the vehicles they use and how they operate.
He also claimed that the purported plan spread across international borders.
“I have given them (DCI) all the information including the number plates of the vehicles they use, where they hide, how they move and communicate, and how they implement their plans,” he stated.
Livondo noted that the information he had shared would help the DCI officers to investigate and start fishing out the individuals from their hideouts in the coming days.
“That threat will be neutralised any hour from today. They will be picked up one by one, including those who have tried to eliminate witnesses.
“It is a big thing that even involves the church,” he declared.
Livondo noted that he would be recording a second statement later this week on Thursday.
The DCI had summoned Livondo over remarks he made on February 19 during Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s thanksgiving ceremony, where he claimed that there had been two separate attempts to assassinate Uhuru by none other than his Deputy, William Ruto, with the help of international mercenaries; a claim that got Kenyans talking.
