Monday, February 21, 2022 – Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Saturday blasted Deputy President William Ruto and his allies for snapping his thanksgiving ceremony.
Speaking in Thika Stadium during his prayer meeting, Kuria revealed that politicians allied to the United Democratic Alliance party were ordered not to attend the event.
“When I organized this event, I called Kabando Wa Kabando asking him to be the joint MC with Ndindi Nyoro. But because there were people who thought this would be a political meeting, UDA members were summoned and ordered not to attend,” Kuria said.
The outspoken legislature claimed that the UDA politicians might have snubbed his homecoming for political reasons.
“Some people thought this was a political meeting and UDA held a meeting and told its members not to attend this meeting. It is only the legal affairs secretary of UDA, my good friend Lawyer Edward Mureu who has chosen to come,” he added.
The Chama Cha Kazi party leader castigated Ruto for abandoning him when, in fact, he lost parliamentary committee positions due to his affiliation to UDA.
At the same time, Kuria warned the UDA brigade against insulting President Uhuru, saying the Mt Kenya region will not entertain any insults directed at the president.
“There is something that is making me angry, no one should insult our president.
“Let them wait for theirs and they can do that… we are going to escort the president with respect as he finishes his term,” Kuria stated.
