Monday, February 21, 2022 – Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has accused Deputy President William Ruto of sowing a seed of discord between him and the UDA fraternity.
This is after Ruto and his UDA family snubbed Kuria’s prayer meeting at Thika Stadium on Saturday; something that did not go down well with the Gatundu South legislator.
Speaking at the event, Kuria accused the DP of personally stopping members of UDA from attending his prayer meeting.
He revealed that he had invited Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, who is an avid supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, to partner with ex-Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando, as a joint MC at his much-hyped event but failed to show up thanks to Ruto.
According to Kuria, Nyoro and other Ruto-affiliated politicians he had invited received express instructions from Ruto, cautioning them against attending the Thika Stadium event.
“When I organized this event, I called Honourable Kabando Wa Kabando telling him that I wanted him to be a joint MC with my friend Ndindi Nyoro. But because certain quarters believe that this event will be political, UDA officials convened a meeting and warned them from attending my event,” he said.
This comes even as Kuria claimed that he had suffered great loss due to his association with the DP and UDA, beginning with losing his position in the parliamentary committee.
He vowed never to forgive Ruto for what he did to him that day.
