Monday February 21, 2022 – Makueni County Senator, Mutula Kilonzo Jnr. has urged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga‘s lieutenants not to force former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to join Azimio La Umoja Movement
Speaking on Sunday, Mutula, who is a close ally of Kalonzo, said some Azimio leaders are forcing the wiper leader to join the movement.
“You’re not going to compel us to travel to Azimio. Tell Raila Amolo Odinga that if he wants the people of the Eastern area to vote for him, he should come and speak to them instead of sending someone ” Mutula said.
“Tell him that we are supporting Kalonzo Musyoka when he comes,” he continued.
After that, Kilonzo hit out at ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna for choosing to cooperate with Azimio after getting financing from the National Super Alliance (NASA).
“You commanded, Sifuna, that we not be given our due money because Kalonzo should join Azimio.
“You also alleged that Kalonzo was looking for Ksh3 billion to join the initiative. Where did he make such a statement, please?” he posed for the camera.
Sifuna reacted to Kilonzo by indicating that Wiper had already been handed the money and that he could substantiate the transaction information with the documents.
“I want you to call me at your office, and I’ll bring you paperwork showing the monies freed from ODM flowing to Wiper, ” Sifuna said.
