Police arrest RUTO’s goon caught on camera assaulting a lady after she shouted Azimio slogans at a UDA rally in Kisii.

 Friday, February 11, 2022 – Police have arrested a man who assaulted a lady in Kisii during a political rally organized by Ruto’s allies.

The suspect, identified as Joash Atemba alias Sokoro, was caught on camera slapping the lady after she shouted Azimio slogans at the rally.

Kenyans called for his arrest after the video was widely circulated online.

Police have confirmed that they have arrested the man, who is said to be a goon associated with Deputy President William Ruto.

He will be taken to court once investigation on the assault incident is completed.

The National Police Service has advised the public to exercise restraint and accommodate divergence of opinion during the electioneering period.
