Wednesday, February 9, 2022 – NARC Kenya Party Leader, Martha Karua, has waded into the war of words between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto, saying the two should resign and go home because Kenyans are tired of them both.
Speaking during an interview, Karua explained that the ongoing feud between Uhuru and Ruto was endangering the country’s unity and that their only sensible choice is to resign.
According to Karua, the public spat between the two leaders was a bad show and they should step down from their respective offices to save face and safeguard Kenya’s future.
Karua reprimanded the President and his deputy for making their feud public, adding that it amounted to disrespecting Kenyans and the voters.
“Bringing their wars to the public arena is disrespectful to us, the voters. As leaders, they must look for a way to have minimum conditions for working together, if not, the government should resign.”
“I have no idea what went wrong but I have seen these exchanges which only bring tension to the country between the people who support the various factions and I think it is totally unhealthy.
“This has been going on for a while and I think it is getting worse,” Karua stated.
