Monday, February 21, 2022 – Revered blogger and social media analyst, Robert Alai, has conducted an online opinion poll that has revealed the most likely presidential candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, Prof. George Wajakoyah, and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, are among presidential candidates who are lining up to succeed President Kenyatta.
In the poll, Alai had asked Kenyans “Who is the fifth President of Kenya?”
of the 40,000 respondents, 45.2 percent supported DP Ruto. Raila Odinga came second with 44.3 percent while Prof. George Wajakoyah came third with 8.9 percent while Kalonzo closed the poll with 1.5 percent.
This is a big win for DP Ruto who is using the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party to succeed his boss.
Raila Odinga on the other hand is using the Azimio La Umoja Movement to campaign for his presidency.
However, if this scenario plays out in the August Elections, there would be no outright winner in the first round with 50 +1% of the votes.
Here is the screenshot of Robert Alai’s poll that showed Ruto leading and Raila trailing.
