Friday, March 18, 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto is likely the fifth President of Kenya, if the reception he got in Ichaweri Village, Gatundu South constituency on Friday is anything to go by.
The second in command, together with his brigade, stormed the village which happens to be the hometown of President Uhuru Kenyatta and the First Family’s ‘political nest’.
Many Kenyans expected Ruto to be stoned or heckled but the reception he got surprised many, including the President’s handlers.
Ruto, who was accompanied by Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, was received by a mammoth crowd that sang songs in praise of the DP.
Ruto’s warm reception comes hours after Kuria said President Uhuru Kenyatta had hired buses to ferry goons to disrupt Ruto’s rally.
Here is the video of Ruto receiving a heroic welcome in Gatundu which happens to be Uhuru’s backyard.
