Thursday, March 17, 2022 – Kiambu County Senator Kimani Wamatangi now says he is ready to face any disciplinary action against him by the Jubilee Party.
This is after he defected from the party and joined Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance(UDA).
In an interview with Citizen TV on Thursday, Wamatangi said he had been summoned to State House and was ready for any consequences.
“I don’t care whether I will be de-whipped or not, but my firm stand is that I won’t change my decision on Joining Deputy President William Ruto’s camp since the decision came from my electorates who warmed me of digging my own grave should I the Azimio la Umoja Movement,” Wamatangi said.
Wamatangi is currently the Senate Majority Chief Whip and sources said he will be de-whipped on Friday after President Uhuru Kenyatta convened a meeting of all Jubilee Party leaders from Mt Kenya region.
