Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, on Tuesday confirmed that they ‘rigged’ the 2013 and 2017 Presidential elections in favour of President Uhuru.
Kuria, who spoke during United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Delegates Conference(NDC) at Kasarani Gymnasium, said they did all manner of electoral malpractices to ensure Uhuru won the elections.
“Kuna wengine wanasema ati kura ya mlima itagawanywa; mheshimiwa Anne Waiguru, Rigathi Gachagua, Muthomi Njuki, Kimani Ichung’wa, Senator Linturi, Alice Wahome, Faith Gitau, Kimani wa Matangi…Sisi ndio tulikuwa tukishikilia Uhuru kura, na sisi ndio tulikuwa tunamuibia kura,” Kuria stated.
Which translates to: “Some people are saying that the Mt Kenya vote will be divided; Governor Anne Waiguru, Rigathi Gachagua, Muthomi Njuki, Kimani Ichung’wa, Senator Linturi, Alice Wahome, Faith Gitau, Kimani wa Matangi… we are the ones who protected Uhuru’s votes and we are the one who rigged for him votes”.
Kuria seems to echo sentiments made by Murang’a Woman Representative, Sabina Chege, who last month said they rigged out former Prime Minister Raila Odinga during the 2017 presidential election.
