Kenyatta’s drinking buddy and former Gatanga Member of Parliament, David Murathe, has revealed how Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria rigged himself into Parliament.
Murathe, who appeared on Citizen TV on Tuesday evening, said Kuria rigged out his competitor to win the Gatundu South seat.
“Moses Kuria got into parliament through a by-election. He allegedly garnered 4000 votes in a station with 800 registered voters; ridiculous. Today he chickened out because he knew we would expose him,” Murathe said.
Murathe made the comments after Kuria claimed during UDA‘s National Delegates Conference held at Kasarani Gymnasium on Tuesday that he was among the Mt Kenya leaders who rigged elections in favour of Uhuru in 2013 and 2017.
“Some people are saying that the Mt Kenya votes will be divided; Governor Anne Waiguru, Rigathi Gachagua, Muthomi Njuki, Kimani Ichung’wa, Senator Linturi, Alice Wahome, Faith Gitau, Kimani wa Matangi… we are the ones who protected Uhuru’s votes and we are the one who rigged for his votes,” Kuria said.
However, Murathe dismissed Kuria’s claims and said President Uhuru Kenyatta won fairly and squarely and nobody rigged him in.
