RUTO now reveals where the bad blood between him and UHURU started and who initiated their fall out – You won’t believe this!

Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto has continued to expose the genesis of his deteriorating relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking at the Kasarani gymnasium in Nairobi after accepting his nomination as the UDA presidential flag bearer in the August 9, General Election, Ruto said he voluntarily walked out of the Jubilee government after the president asked him for a space to work on his legacy.

“The president did inform me that he needed space to work on his personal legacy as the 4th president. I obliged. This led to my eventual retreat to the margins of a government that I had participated in forming,” Ruto said.

Nonetheless, he thanked Uhuru for making him deputy for two terms, saying it has been an honour serving Kenyans in that capacity, having been the first elected DP.

At the same time, the second in command said he has always discharged his duties faithfully as deputy president and at no time did he fail to deliver on any task he was assigned by his boss – President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I will forever be grateful to my friend the President for this opportunity,” he said.

Ruto’s friendship with Uhuru deteriorated after the handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2018.
