Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – Exiled Lawyer Miguna Miguna commended Deputy President William Ruto for his hard-hitting speech at the UDA NDC yesterday.
In his hard-hitting speech, Ruto hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta, terming his second term a waste.
“Those who remained loyal to our founding vision within Jubilee were shunned, hounded, threatened and then persecuted.
This is how we lost four years that would have gifted the brilliant blossoming of a beautiful dream which inspired millions of Kenyans in 2013,” he said.
He claimed Uhuru had weaponized public institutions like KRA, DCI, and the judiciary to fight those with divergent views.
“On our first day we will free the DCI, we will free the KRA from the state capture, they have weaponised DCI, KRA and the EACC to run political errands,” Ruto said as the crowd cheered him on.
“We will professionalize the DCI’s office for them to discharge their constitutional and legal duty,” he affirmed.
At the same time, Ruto assured Kenyans that UDA is their home, a party for every Kenyan, from every walk of life, a party where you will not be asked about your father’s name to be served.
Reacting to Ruto’s speech, Miguna said that the DP stole his thunder.
He noted that Ruto echoed his message since 1987 of not surrendering to tyranny and worshiping no one but God.
“We will not surrender to tyranny. We will not bow to anyone. We will not worship anyone. Kenya does not belong to anyone. Kenya belongs to all of us. We will liberate Kenya. Wonderful to see William Ruto and his team echo my message since 1987. Bravo,” Miguna stated.
