Monday, 23 January 2023 – Daily Nation has reported that a politician from Nyanza who dumped Raila for Ruto was conned millions of shillings by some purported power brokers who promised to influence his appointment as the board chairman of a lucrative state agency.
He was shocked after he paid the huge amount of money, only for the position to be handed over to another person in the recent appointments.
He was heard lamenting how his savings had gone down the drain after he spent a fortune in the campaigns.
