DPP NOORDIN HAJI confirms that his office is investigating MATIANG’I over Sh 1.5 billion Ruaraka Land Scandal

 Friday, February 10, 2023 – Director of Public Prosecutions, Noordin Haji, has confirmed that his office is investigating former Interior Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’i over the Sh 1.5 billion Ruaraka Land Scandal.

In an interview with Citizen TV on Thursday, Haji first denied that his office was involved in the alleged raid at Matiangi’s home on Wednesday night.

According to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Matiangi’s home in Karen was raided by over 20 police officers but police have denied this.

Haji said they are yet to finalise Matiangi’s corruption case and once they finalise appropriate steps will be taken.

“For a long time, the media has been asking about the Ruaraka land. Once the file is ready, we will make the decision and we will inform the public. We are awaiting the finalisation of the financial investigations. Once that is complete we will make an appropriate decision,” Haji said.
