Wednesday, March 1, 2023 – New survey by Infotrak about where the country is headed under the leadership of President William Ruto has put the State House on edge.
In a poll finding released yesterday, 62% of Kenyans believed that the country was headed in the wrong direction.
Kenyans differed with President William Ruto’s proclamation that he was on track to deliver the country from the sorry state he claimed to have inherited.
Among the reasons Kenyans are displeased with the Ruto government is the high cost of living which was mentioned by 73% of them.
In addition, they complained about the high taxes levied on them and the high rate of unemployment. Closing the top five is bad governance and bad politics.
Notably, the majority of those who opined that Kenya was headed to trouble were from Nyanza, Western and Eastern regions at 75, 66, and 66% respectively.
On the other hand, 23% backed Ruto’s administration while 15% of respondents stated that the country was neither going in the right nor wrong direction.
Those who expressed confidence explained that the country was peaceful and that Kenyans lived in harmony with one another.
