Eastend Junior Academy which has been operating for 30 years shut down for good as the proprietors cite harsh business environment.

 

Tuesday, October 24, 2023 – The proprietors of Eastend Junior Academy – a popular school in Nairobi’s Eastlands area, have shut it down, citing a harsh business environment.

The management sent a notice to parents informing them that the school will be closed for good from next year.

”Everyone knows that the business environment in the country has not been that good.

“The latter has been exerting a lot of pressure on the Directors and because of their age, they have opted to retire and close the school from next year,” part of the notice reads.

The school was founded in 1993.

It has been running for 30 years and according to social media reports, it was one of the best schools in Nairobi’s Eastlands area.
