Wednesday, April 24, 2024 - A security guard and a caretaker were caught on CCTV working in cahoots with thugs to steal a vehicle in Kileleshwa.
In the footage shared by Kileleshwa Ward MCA Robert Alai, the security guard is seen allowing the thugs to access the apartment without registering them.
The caretaker was also part of the robbery plan as he was seen on CCTV communicating with the thugs.
The suspected thugs accessed the apartment and managed to steal a vehicle from the parking lot.
The owner of the vehicle screamed for help after seeing the thugs stealing the vehicle and instead of the security guard locking the gate, he rushed to open it.
Sharing the video on his X account, Alai warned city residents to be careful when employing guards and caretakers.
“Guys, your caretakers and watchmen sometimes facilitate the burglaries and robberies in your residences. Wherever you live, have a strong residents' association, and please know your guards and caretakers. This happened in Kileleshwa. WATCH!,’’ Alai wrote.
