Friday, July 26, 2024 - On Thursday, President William Ruto went to Tharaka Nithi County where he launched several development projects and held roadside rallies while accompanied by local leaders affiliated with the UDA party.
As he was speaking in one of the roadside rallies, the residents shouted him down after he started giving his usual empty promises.
Ruto was telling the residents how he had set aside Ksh 150 million to build county headquarters but the crowd was fed up with his false promises.
Former Nandi Hills Member of Parliament, Alfred Keter, shared the video on his X account and heaped praise on Tharaka Nithi residents for rejecting Ruto’s empty promises.
“Thank you so much the people of Tharaka Nithi for saying no to fake promises. The trust is long gone,” he tweeted.
