Latest opinion poll shows the most preferred candidate for the AUC job between RAILA and Djibouti's MAHAMOUD - This will shock RUTO

Friday, August 23, 2024 – An opinion poll conducted by renowned blogger, Cyprian Nyakundi, has shown Kenyans' most preferred candidate for the African Union chairperson job between former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and former Djibouti Foreign Affairs Minister Mahamoud Ali Youssouf.

Raila Odinga, 80, has exited from Kenyan politics and is currently concentrating on his mission of succeeding former Chadian Prime Minister Mousa Faki whose tenure ends in February 2025.

President William Ruto has unleashed the Government to campaign for Raila Odinga with whom they crafted a broad-based Government (Nusu Mkate) last month.

Blogger Nyakundi asked Kenyans on X on Thursday who is their most preferred candidate between Raila Odinga and Mahamoud.

Over 39,000 Kenyans participated in the poll and surprisingly 75.3 percent of Kenyans voted for Mahamoud instead of their own Raila Odinga who was supported by only 24.7 percent of Kenyans.

Here is a screenshot of the opinion poll that will shock both Raila and his political godfather Ruto.
