Thursday, October 10, 2024 - Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong'o has confirmed she has split from Canadian-American actor, Joshua Jackson in a gorgeous shoot for Harper's Bazaar UK.
The Hollywood stars went public with their romance in
October 2023, shortly after it was announced that Joshua had parted ways with
his wife Jodie Turner-Smith.
In September, the pair sparked split rumours after Joshua,
46, attended the premiere of Grotesquerie with German model Nastassja
Roberts.
Speaking for the first time about her split, Lupita said she
doesn't have eyes for anyone else at the moment, except for her cat Yoyo.
She said: 'My love for my cat is singular. If I'm ever so
lucky to be in a romantic relationship again, it'll be because of him.
'I was ready to shut that door and lock it and bolt it. He
has ensured that my heart remains open.'
Jodie filed for divorce in October 2023, citing
'irreconcilable differences' after four years of marriage.
The two stars agreed to join custody of their daughter named
Juno Rose Diana Jackson, four.
At the time Joshua had been left 'heartbroken' over the
split. But, just weeks later, Joshua confirmed his romance with Lupita as they
were photographed holding hands publicly.
At the start of their romance, a source explained to
DailyMail that the pair were attempting to take things slow as they navigated
their recent breakups.
They revealed: 'Joshua has a type and Lupita definitely fits
that to a tee. But they are just friends, it is still a little early for Joshua
to start dating again.
'Could he be an item with Lupita down the road? Without question... They are both still going through it with their recent breakups and still are looking to heal.'
