Wednesday, November 13, 2024 - Former Roc A Fella co-owner and American music executive, Dame Dash has praised Donald Trump and his team for successfully using the scandal around embattled music executive Sean Diddy Combs to hurt Kamala Harris’ campaign.
Speaking on his America Nu Network, the Roc-A-Fella Records
co-founder offered his perspective on the election results and how Harris’ use
of celebrity endorsements may have contributed to her failed bid for the White
House.
Dash said: “I was looking at Kamala Harris’ campaign and it
was a pretty good campaign. What I would have done different is I would have
stood away from the celebrities. In this moment, because of the circumstances,
it is not the best thing to be next to a celebrity. I believe they leveraged
the Puff thing so well.
“I feel like Kamala invested a lot in the people that may
have been at the Puff parties. It’s a grey area so what they did there was made
sure the whole world know who Puff was and what he was accused of and then they
accused everybody that may have been at his parties of being a part [of it].”
He added: “A lot of the people I saw speaking on those
stages may have been in the grey area. They may have been hot. They may have
those affiliations.”
Dash also praised Elon Musk’s use of social media to
associate celebrities with Diddy: “Elon owns Twitter and every time somebody
endorsed Kamala Harris, Elon would say why would you trust them, they were at a
Puff party. And then he would put that in the algorithm. They just leveraging
that power to negate the power of the celebrity.”
Elon Musk also criticized Jennifer Lopez for formerly dating
Diddy between 1999 and 2001 after she criticized Trump’s comments about Puerto
Rico.
Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, Musk commented: “J.Lo
was like his ex-girlfriend, and now all of a sudden, she’s warning people about
Trump. How many people did she warn about Diddy? Oh, zero. Maybe we shouldn’t
trust her opinion
