Wednesday, 25 February 2015 -Renowned Classic 105 radio presenter, Maina Kageni recently took to social media to expose fraudsters purporting to be working for equity bank and M-Shwari who nearly conned him.
The controversial radio host, who is famed for discussing some of the most profane topics on air, shared a screen shot of a message he received from the fraudsters claiming that he had won a whooping Kshs 100,000.
Maina first believed the message was genuine until he read part of the message that warned him not to pay for anything. On a closer scrutiny of the SMS, the radio host later saw glaring spelling mistakes and un-existent phone number.
“I almost fell for it until I noticed the words "don't pay for anything" #conjuncthion #awanded #0202000000” he wrote on social media.
