Monday, 26 October 2015 - Popular NTV news anchor Larry Madowo is crying foul after he got robbed in a foreign country.
The eloquent news anchor, who is currently in London, lost a bag that contained his passport and other valuables while staying at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
Through social media, Larry expressed his displeasure with the hotel’s management for what he claims is being unapologetic and blaming him for losing his valuables while staying at their premises.
“My bag with passport & other valuables stolen at @ParkPlazaHotels Westminster Bridge lobby & hotel is unapologetic. Holiday totally ruined. Guest relations manager @ParkPlazaHotels Westminster Bridge says my travel docs & valuables stolen in their hotel isn't their responsibility” Larry tweeted.
Larry has however reported the theft to local police who are currently investigating his case.
“On the upside, the police lady on the phone was very pleasant & apologetic Cop took detailed notes of lost passport, Macbook and whatnot and promised to email case file. I felt like it was a movie!” Larry added.
In the meantime, Larry is stuck in Europe as without his passport, he cannot get a visa to fly out.
“Got flights to Paris tomorrow and to Amsterdam on Saturday that I have to cancel because no passport = no visa. When it rains, it pours” Larry said.
