Friday, January 21, 2022 – Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General, Francis Atwoli, has stated that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has started climbing Mt Kenya and he will overtake Deputy President William Ruto in April.
Currently, DP Ruto has a cult following in the vote-rich region with the August poll fast approaching.
In an interview with TV 47 on Thursday, the outspoken COTU boss stated that according to a reliable survey done in the region, the two frontrunners for the presidency were in a neck-to-neck battle for the populous region’s votes.
The COTU strongman predicted that in his next interview with the media company in April, Raila would be leading in the region.
“According to reliable sources and surveys, Raila and Ruto are in a neck-and-neck battle for votes in Mt Kenya region.
“And by April this year when you call me for an interview, I will tell you Raila is ahead of Ruto.
“It’s just a matter of time,” Atwoli stated.
