Friday, January 21, 2022 – Barely a day after Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo officially announced his exit from Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC to Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja, some disturbing details have emerged that could give Baba a heart attack.
This is after Mudavadi’s ally claimed that Nyaribo, who was among the 30 governors who declared support for Raila, never abandoned the ANC Leader.
Speaking during an interview, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala noted that he was shocked to see Nyaribo among the governors supposedly supporting Raila Odinga.
According to Malala, it is simply not possible as just days earlier, he had held discussions with Mudavadi during his Kisii tour.
In the Kisii meeting, Nyaribo apparently agreed to a working formula with Mudavadi.
He noted that governors supporting Raila are under duress, and were doing so after being coerced or were seeking a clean record from their corruption since Baba is a renowned chief sanitizer.
During his tour of Kisii, Mudavadi considered making Nyaribo the ANC Deputy Party Leader and by extension, his running mate come August because of his good track record.
In an address to journalists, Mudavadi said the ANC party leadership is in consultation with the governor and an announcement will be made soon.
