Sunday, February 13, 2022 – Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka is reportedly playing hard to get, going by the revelations of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.
Speaking yesterday, Mutua sensationally claimed that Kalonzo has demanded a whopping Ksh3 billion from President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga as a condition for him to join Azimio La Umoja ahead of the August 9 General Election.
Mutua said this at Maanzoni Lodge after holding a consultative meeting with the professional, business community, and other leaders, among them Governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni).
They challenged the Wiper leader to join the Azimio La Umoja freely without setting conditions. They vowed that no Ukambani leader will derail their plan to support ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“We know that it is not that they are waiting to think first before they join Azimio, but they are waiting for money.
“We already know that they have demanded Sh3 billion,” Mutua said.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap Party Leader said Kalonzo has developed a tendency of auctioning the Kamba community for his own personal interests.
“I have evidence that earlier years, they also demanded money. They have asked for money several times and they were given,” he added.
Kalonzo has on several occasions ruled out supporting the ODM leader Raila Odinga for the third time saying its high time Raila reciprocated by supporting him.
