The latest opinion poll puts DP RUTO at the State House gate as RAILA ODINGA continues to struggle with numbers!

Friday, February 11, 2022 – A new opinion poll conducted by Statistics Kenya has shown Deputy President William Ruto is still the man to beat during the August 9th Presidential election.

According to the survey conducted between January 17th and January 31st this year, Ruto took the lead with 44 percent, followed by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga with 39 percent.

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudacadi came third with 3 percent and Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka fourth with 2 percent.

12 percent of the respondents were undecided.

At this stage, however, the DP would not be declared president on his first-round win since a simple majority of 50% +1 vote is required for one to be declared the winner of the presidential election in Kenya.

The poll comes at a time when President Uhuru Kenyatta is preparing to camp in the Mt Kenya region and ‘poison’ residents against Ruto’s presidency.

Currently, Ruto has a cult following in the vote-rich region.
